Caption: The mosaïque of pictures above shows the flooding of my grandparent’s farm field in Southern Belgium. My grandparents have owned that farm for decades, but they have never seen flooding happening with such frequency. Years after years, flooding became more frequent and heavily impacted local farmers in southern Belgium. Such flooding affected their activities as it made the field almost unpractical. The frequency of those events shows the impact climate change has in areas of the world that might be less talked about in the impact climate change has on society. Local farmers are now more than ever threatened to disappear due to the lack of resources they have to counter climate change impacts. Such disappearance is significant in a time when big food corporations have become omnipresent in our daily life and often cheat the consumer with various industrial technics.
