Because music is a medium of expression, it becomes a useful tool for recording the voices and passions of humans as they evolve through time. Protest about climate change and environmental sentiments captured in song paint an ethnographic study of human concern with climate. Included here is a playlist of various anthems and songs about climate change, stemming from a variety of genres and years. Their messages vary between praise for mother nature to calls to action from individuals. The aggregate of these songs, however, creates an audio experience of the Anthropocene – the ear in which humans both impact and change their environment.
