I chose this song because I think it’s an incredible and welcome pop culture reference to climate change. Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) is known for writing songs that refer to social justice topics. “Feels Like Summer” has a haunting, doomy quality, but its sound is cool and trippy enough to draw the listener in. The lyrics are powerful, with Glover singing about dying bees and the endless pursuit of wealth, material goods, and the fast life.
