Caption: This project follows the trail of human impact on the ocean. The top left depicts the marine litter produced by humans, which not only destroys the natural habitats but also breaks down into micro-plastic that contributes to the greenhouse gas emissions. The right left portrays the controversy oil spill issue that was salient in Korea a few years ago, an event that has a personal event to the creator who went on a volunteer trip to help clean the aftermath. Finally, the bottom heat map represents the brutal scientific truth: the oceans are continuing to absorbing more heat as greenhouse gases traps more solar energy and contributing to the rising sea level. I hope this visual art project would directly demonstrate our impact on the slow violence of climate change.
