ISOLATION, BEFORE AND DURING A PANDEMIC (EP. 94)
I was a guest on this podcast with the ACLU a few weeks ago to talk about disability and isolation in the covid-19 era. Although many disabled people are familiar with isolation due to stigma, inaccessible environments, and other oppressive structures, many nondisabled people are experiencing it for the first time. There’s a lot to be learned from the disability community and we must come out of this with more respect and solidarity for marginalized folks.
